MYB awarded Mountain Area Business Accelerator Grant
We are excited to announce that MYB has been awarded a Mountain Area Business Accelerator Grant from the Mountain Area Workforce Development Board (MAWDB).
The Incumbent Worker Training Grant (IWTG) is a competitive, cost reimbursement training grant through which qualifying businesses can address employees’ skills gaps.
These skills gaps can be a result of a worker’s changing responsibilities/requirements in her/his job, or for a worker whose job may potentially be eliminated and skill upgrading is needed to accept new responsibilities. Incumbent worker training should increase the knowledge and/or certifications of workers, and increase the competitiveness of the employee and the employer.
Given recent influences in the employment space, such as the #metoo movement, MYB will be expanding our EEO department. This grant will therefore be used to training additional EEO Investigators.
Back in 2011, with the economy still suffering and companies cutting their budgets for background screening, Karen Caruso, CEO/President and founder of MYB, elected to diversify as a means to grow the business. This led to our expansion into providing EEO investigations.
Since then, MYB’s EEO professionals have served as EEO Directors, EEO Managers, EEO Specialists, EEO Counselors, EEO Administrative Assistants and EEO attorneys, across a wide range of investigations and organizations.
We are excited to expand our EEO team and delighted to have MAWDB’s support in doing so.
