And the winner is…
The Athena Award is presented annually to an individual in the community who meets the awards requirements. These include “demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative”, “provide valuable service” and “assist women in realizing their full leadership potential”. It is clearly an honor to be nominated for such an award, and to have your hard work and success recognized. Seeing as this is the second successive year that Karen has been nominated for this, she is clearly doing something right! For more information on the Athena Award, click here.
The second nomination for Karen is the State Small Business Person of the Year Award, for the 2011 SBA Awards. The SBA will present award on the district level, the State level and the National level. It is a fantastic opportunity for Karens contribution to be recognized on a national stage.
The final award recognition for 2010 is for the company itself – MYBINC has been recognised by the SBA as an elite business in Western North Carolina. With these results published internationally and received by millions (including President Obama), there is massive potential for progression for MYBINC simply due to the nomination. We will be sure to keep you updated of the results, and a huge congratulations to Karen and the MYBINC team for their hard work and dedication which has led to these nominations!]]>
