MYB involvement in the local community

Believe Benefit for Rhonda Peterson, coming together with others in the local community in the fight against cancer.Believe Benefit for Rhonda Peterson Karen was joined by many other local business leaders at Innisfree Farm in Fletcher, NC, including Melanie Pace from our friends, Tar Heel Paving. It truly was a heart-warming event that emphasized the powerful relationships and support within our community. And this is far from a one-off display of community support. Karen and the rest of the MYB team take pride in our involvement in local events, humanitarian efforts and charitable contributions. This community has given us so much over the years – we feel that it’s truly our responsibility to give something back. Earlier this year, our team hit the track as we participated in Relay for Life for Henderson County, being one of many teams coming together to celebrate survivorship. It was a wonderful occasion where we could express hope and our shared goal to end an awful disease that causes tragedy daily. In addition, the Blue Ridge Humane Society is a key partner of ours, who we help to improve the quality of companion animal’s lives through donating towards their adoption, collaboration, and community education programs. [caption id="attachment_3555" align="alignright" width="225"] Karen Caruso with Melanie Pace from Tar Heel Paving[/caption] We also want to highlight the Boys and Girls Club of Henderson County, whose 5th Annual Ladies Tea Party we recently sponsored and whose ‘Queen for a Day’ event we supported earlier this year. The club plays such an important role in ensuring our children have the best start, develop essential key skills and get presented with the most promising opportunities, and we’re honored to be able to offer them support in return. Each of these events was so meaningful to participate in and we’re just so happy that we’re able to give back to our community in such significant ways. We can’t wait to see the opportunities that the rest of this year and 2014 will offer us!
